Ventilation Network Modeling
Large Underground Stone Mine Ventilation and Safety Design

Blast clearance time-dependent simulation of CO emissions, powered by VUMA-network software.
Blast clearance input:
Explosive: ANFO (on-site mix); Number of development ends: 3; Explosive mass used per development end: 300 lb.; CO rate = 74.96 kg/t; NOx rate = 17.64 kg/t; Dust rate = 1.10 kg/t
Turbulence Analytics, LLC offers consulting services in ventilation design; ventilation survey, development of ventilation network optimization scenarios; blast clearance computation; respirable dust control, and fire case simulations related to the emergency plan.
Improving Working Environment
Dust Control Improvement using Suplemental Spraying Systems
A project dedicated to designing and implementing a supplemental atomizing spray system mounted on a continuous miner to improve dust control during deep cut mining.

Presented at the 17th North American Mine Ventilation Symposium, April 28 - May 1, 2019, Montreal, Canada
Feasibility Study
Methane Dilution and Dust Control Feasibility Study
A study of selected face ventilation scenarios for the conditions of a coal mine with a 5.5 ft height of the entry has been performed. The purpose of the study is to investigate the feasibility of several face ventilation design variants to meet the safety standards for 40-45 ft extended cut. The study involves Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling, in-mine measurements, and full-scale lab testing.

Presented at the 2019 SME ANNUAL CONFERENCE & EXPO, February 24-27, Denver, Colorado
CFD Analysis
Methane Dilution Analysis Around Continuous Miner Bolter
Several face ventilation scenarios including tubing ventilation of production panel with pillars size 30 m x 30 m, dead-end heading's entry with height 3.8 m and width 5.2 m, mined with a continuous miner bolter, have been studied using small scale physical model and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis.

Presented at the 10th International Mine Ventilation Congress IMVC2014, 2-8 August 2014, Sun City, South Africa.
Case Study
Decision Support System for Mining Methods Selection Using Bayesian Belief Networks

Presented at the 37th International Symposium on the APPLICATION OF COMPUTERS AND OPERATIONS RESEARCH IN THE MINERAL INDUSTRY APCOM 2015, Fairbanks, Alaska, May 23rd - 27th, 2015.
